EVENTS ARE LISTED IN THE CLUB NEWSLETTER which
is posted to you each month.
Motorcycle events are published in TMX and
MCN. MTB events will be in some monthly
journals. We do not give awards in club
events, we believe you play games for fun and try
hard to win. No awards means lower costs
and if we make a surplus we donate to Riders
for Health. Awards are given
for series and special events.
YOUR COOPERATION AT EVENTS IS IMPORTANT

ANYWHERE WITHOUT
PERMISSION.
TAKE ALL LITTER HOME PLEASE, THE LAND MUST
BE LEFT TIDY.
ONLY RIDE THE COURSE THAT IS MARKED OUT &
ONLY AT PERMITTED TIMES.
Parking must be all off the road. Early arrivals
please park as far into the site as you can
and do not block the entrance.
Be prepared to show your membership card when
you sign on.
Conform to the instructions of those officiating
at the event.
Only persons who have signed on and entered the
event may ride on the land unless
given permission by an official,

MOTORCYCLE TRIALS
Club trials are on 1st Sunday in every month or
dates shown in Newsletter. Enter on day. 3
routes white, blue and yellow (white hardest).
Punch cards, self score. A South Coast
Group observed trial is run annually. Participation
with other AMCA clubs provides a trial for
HR members every weekend. Scoring is on
1, 2, 3, 5 system i.e. 1 - a single dab, 2 = 2
dabs, 3 = footing as much as you like, 5 = stop
or wrong route. Results are shown in full in
the monthly Newsletter. Occasionally we
run other types of trial e.g. American score
system, all notified in the club Newsletter.
AFFILIATIONS AND INSURANCE
For motorcycle events HR is affiliated to the
AMCA. Through them riders and officials have
personal injury insurance under AMCA rules.
WE NEED YOU TO HELP
HR runs up to 50 events/rides a year. To
enable this you agree on joining to help run an
event at least once a year. A duty list
of names in the Newsletter will inform you when it’s
your turn. If you are not available on the
date requested arrange to swap or phone your
sports secretary.
SOCIAL EVENTS
HR runs camping weekends and barbecue evenings
during the summer months. Club
evenings are held on the first Wednesday in the
month at venue notified in the Newsletter.
A Christmas party is held in December.
CLOTHING AND STICKERS
Club Riding shirts are available and the Club
logo is available on a variety of other garments
- ask for details.
Two free club stickers are issued free of charge
when you join the club.
Extra stickers are available at 4 for £1
from the secretary.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is for the current year - renewal forms
sent out in January. Members joining
after September pay the full rate but will have
discount on renewal. Family membership is
available for members partners/children under
16 living at the same address. Individual or
family membership includes one newsletter and
one vote at AGM.
NEWSLETTER
The club Newsletter is published in the first
week of each month and posted to you. Items
for inclusion should be sent or phoned in at least
1 week before publication. Adverts for
sale, wanted etc. are free of charge to club members.
Business small adverts are available
to members at £2.50 per line per year (12
insertions). Non members £5
CHARITY
The Club supports ‘Riders for Health’,
a charity that organises and supplies motorcycles to
health workers in various African countries.
The club camping weekend donates takings to
RFH and any surplus over the year.
HORSHAM RIDERS CLUB RULES
1. The name of the club shall
be HORSHAM RIDERS CLUB and members accept and will abide by these
rules.
2. the object of the club is
to promote and combine the sporting and social sides of motor cycling and
mountain
biking.
3. The club shall be affiliated to the A.M.C.A. for motor cycle trials events.
4. The annual subscription
will be set by the committee and be payable on 1st January each year.
Members
will be deemed to have discontinued
membership if subscription unpaid at time of AGM.
5. Applications for membership shall be accepted or rejected by the committee.
6. The committee shall comprise
of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Trial Sec, Mountain Bike Sec, MTB Ride
Co-ordinator, Editor, Social Sec,
2 trials members, 2 MTB members all be to elected at an AGM. Senior
positions should endeavour to change
every three years. Each committee member has one vote, the chairman
shall have a casting vote.
A quorum shall be 5 members. A committee member absent for three
meetings
without good reason may be replaced
with a nominee by the committee.
7. The AGM will take place
in February, or earlier in each year, the date to be notified to members
at least two
weeks before the event. At
the AGM a set of audited accounts will be presented and an election of
the
committee will take place, also
an auditor for the coming year. Any proposal for the good of the
club can be
considered at this meeting.
8. In all events run by the club the decision of the committee shall be final.
9. Any member violating the
rules of the club or guilty in the opinion of the committee of unacceptable
behaviour may be suspended by the
committee or expelled by a general meeting.
10. On dissolution or liquidation
of the club the AMCA are absolved from all responsibility and any property
or
assets shall be devoted to Save
the Children Fund and Riders for Health.
11. Members participating in
club events must conform to the clubs code of conduct: conform to the
instructions of those officiating
or the landowner, park vehicles where instructed, only ride the course
laid out at
times allowed, do nothing to put
the use of the land at risk, take all litter home after an event.
